Line and Shape
For my line and shape picture I chose to shoot a staircase railing.I took the photo of the rail straight on and it's a horizontal picture. I payed attention to the framing of the picture and considered the rule of thirds. The shadow at the top is in the first top section. The railing is in the middle and the wood beam at the bottom is in the third section. The railing has a triangular shape that cuts through the picture and leads your eye to the top where the shadow is. Also the trees from outside of the window creates an organic shape on the wall and the spaces between the rails make positive an negative shapes.
Texture and Pattern
For my texture and pattern I took a picture of flowers and a butterfly. I took the picture very close to the subject and filled the frame with my composition. My point of view was straight on. My picture was taken to fit the rule of thirds. If it was broken into three the butterfly would be the top section, the pink flowers the middle and the green leafs the last section. My picture of the butterfly successfully illustrates rhythm
Motion
In my motion pictures I used a 1/500 shutter speed. I took a picture of a white blanket being shook from a ledge. I shot close to the subject and used IOS 100 and daylight for the settings. Even though I had a fast shutter speed I still used a tripod. The texture in the fifth picture is very strong because of the lines in the blanket and also the bricks in the background. Also the rule of thirds is taken place because the blanket isn't directly in the middle but more off to the side.
Painting with Light
My picture for light is a picture of two red and blue lights being spun together. I used a 5 second shutter and I used the finger lights. To get the spiral effect I spun both of the lights at the same time. The picture makes a mystical impact on the viewer.
